One of the hardest parts about IC is that we look normal on the outside, but on the inside we’re struggling with pain, stress, worry and anxiety. Our friends and family can’t read our minds and, let’s be honest, we often get frustrated with those who underestimate or minimize our IC. It’s important to remember that they don’t have to know about IC in depth, but they should show compassion, kindness and caring. So, as you go about your daily life, try to remember that the people you are working with and are perhaps frustrated with… may be facing their own struggles just like we IC patients are. They are focused on their issues and struggles just like we are with our IC.
