    Procedure

    Advertisement :
So I have a procedure coming up in March. They are finally going to look at my bladder and get to the bottom of this instead of treating me on assumptions. I donít care what I have to do. I just need to get this pain under control. Had a few meltdowns. Trying not to cry. So hard when you want answers like yesterday but you have to just wait and find any hope that one day you will be in a better place.

Will they be doing a cystoscopy? In the doctor's office --- or a hospital or surgery center? I hope that you end up with a diagnosis. Somehow, once we know what we have to deal with it, we can begin to do so. I know that my worst time with IC was before diagnosis. In the meantime, are you following an IC diet? If not, that's something you could try while you wait for your appointment.

Sometimes it's okay to cry --- I know that I have shed a lot of tears when I'm upset, and sometimes it helps.

    Re: Procedure

Thanks for your reply Donna! I sincerely appreciate the time that any of you respond to me. ❤️ My procedure will be done in the hospital. And I was very happy to find out that the urologist that is doing it is also my fathers. So she knows some family history. I have been following the diet. Iíve lost 20 pounds because Iím eating so healthy. I just tried a little mayo on my sandwich and it didnít seem to bother me. Iím afraid to eat anything that isnít on the friendly list. I really donít think diet is my main issue. But all I want is some answers and maybe some light that I will be able to function without so much pain and enjoy life again. I know I may still have bad days and I can handle a few bad days here as there but I literally was in pain 9/10 kind of pain every day in January. It seems that one thing trigger another. Bladder pain, bowel obstructions, yeast, uti... my vitamin D2 was extremely low so Iím on 50,000 mg a week and I just started magnesium about 1 1/2 weeks ago. Iím almost at the 3 month marker for Elmiron but Iím not sure if it will work or not. I just donít know. I have found you have to be very pushy some times to get in to the right doctors. Itís really hard to have hope. I just want to be able to work, play with my daughter and maybe upon occasion be a normal married 35 year old and get some loviní from my husband. Itís been 4 months. So terrified that will cause me to feel the pain I have been feeling every day. The last three days have been the best and my pain is like a 5/6 at the moment.
