    What ways I can add back some of that 'brightness' that I got with vinegar/lemon?

    Looking for some ways to add some brightness that I get with vinegar/lemon in my dishes.

    I think adding sweet is on of the only taste options to add to food,& I am so over sweet because of this. As suggested on this forum, I use "Marie's Creamy Ranch Dressing/Dip" found in the refrigerated section. I use it sparingly & always with Prelief,and it never gives me a problem.It is delicious.I also have started to use nutritional yeast (found it at Trader Joe's) as a condiment over foods- kind of a umame flavor,and I also use PBFit peanut butter powder to add flavor.

    The brightness you're referring to is acid. Unfortunately, acidic foods and beverages wreak havoc with IC bladders and there's no "IC-friendly" substitute for it.

    How about a little lemon peel. That's a way of getting some citrus brightness and lightness without the acid found in the juice.
