To pee or not to pee!

    Advertisement :
I'm curious, during a flare, whether it is better to hold it in pain/discomfort until the bladder is closer to being full or to pee every 30min to an hour when my bladder wants to do that?

Also drink a lot andnpee a lot or drink less and pee less?

I know everyone is different but I'm curious about the strategies folks use.

One thing I have found is that if I don't drink enough, my urine becomes concentrated and more irritating.

I find the more I pee the more pain I get so I hold off as long as I can. Its so hard sometimes though. And I drink lots to dilute my urine.

I ussally drink lots anyways, I oee frequently but I do better when my urine is dilute.

For a flare I drink more, I hope that it helps flush out what set me off providing it was food.

I'm drinking and peeing a lot. I do notice that if I take benedryl at night and sleep well without waking up to go my day will be significantly better. Idk if this is because I manage to get a full bladder or the antihistamine effects or both.

I suspect it's both --- getting adequate sleep can be important.
