Welcome to the ICN. If you are a newly diagnosed patient currently searching for information on IC, you've come to the right place. From treatments to diet, self-help to pain care, the ICN offers an extensive collection of patient education materials. You'll find several sections of information listed below that were written by ICN staff and/or featured writers. Our website also contains a wide variety of guest lecture transcripts by many of the best clinicians and researchers in the world, as well as selected question and answers from various physicians.
I know that it's a little overwhelming at first, but just take it slowly and easily. Just remember the fundamental concept... IC is, in essence, an injured, traumatized bladder. You will be reviewing therapies and self-help strategies that can help calm and soothe the bladder, along with simple dietary changes that will reduce irritation and discomfort.
Remember that IC doesn't charge your brain, your hands, your intelligence or the love that you carry in your heart. You can do great things even with IC. Be strong and always keep the faith! You can get through this. - Jill Osborne MA, ICN President & Founder (01/09)
