Oral Medications - Antispasmodics, Anticholinergics & Anesthetics
Antispasmodics and anticholinergic drugs help in the reduction of intravesical pressure, increasing bladder capacity by antagonizing parasympathetic neuronal stimulator of the destrusor muscle. They also help in reducing frequency of involuntary contractions of the bladder. Some anesthetics can temporarily numb the tissues of the bladder.
