Atarax or Hydroxyzine My IC Dr never heard of using them!!!
OMG I was shocked! I just printed out info pages on this and took it to him. He has agreed to let me try it, I am kind of shocked!

I believe that atarax is the one medication I would never give up.........it really has helped me, including making it easier to sleep.............smiles............nice that you have a doctor that is willing to work with you! :-)

I took atarax back afetr I had a bug bit on my tongue a few years ago and my tongue swelled up. It did make me tired, but not hung over like the evail did to me.

I take atarax only at night. I DO have to deliberabtly pry myself out of bed in the morning. I very rarely take it during the day. I think most people do begin to overcome the sleepiness.........ask your doctor if you think it is too much for you.

I got used to the atarax in my system a lot better than elavil. I still take both at night, but got the ok from my uro to use the elavil as needed.
