Vancouver get togethers?
Hi!
I'm just wondering if theres any other people in Vancouver. If so, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a "support group" or get together's or....?
I know this disease has affected a lot of my friendships because people don't understand. I'd love to meet some new people who do!
Me, I'm 27, I have a 2 year old girl. I'm a stay at home mom right now, but she's in daycare now because I've been too sick to take care of her every day. I'm getting better though, and able to get out more. I'm also trying to sell books online, and going to try ebay for other stuff. I'm a makeup artist and a bookworm. My husband makes video games, so we're geeks http://ic-network.com/forum/newthrea...ewthread&f=67#
lmao
Anyways, let me know if anyone's interested or if theres already something going on.
Take care everyone,
Jennifer

Hello fellow Vancouverite!
Welcome to the ICN! There was some talk of a Vancouver get together for this summer, but there hasn't been anything yet. Hopefully it will happen soon!
Take care!

HI Mishka & Alexa..
I would be most interested in doing this..even if it is just us to start! Your story is awesome Alexa and Jennifer, you sound very cool too. You're both too young to be dealing with this, but dealing with it you are and in a very inspiring way. I am older (won't say how much on this thing!) am a single (divorced) woman, graphic artist and outdoor/nature lover. I also paint, go to the gym (when i'm not in too much pain) and love movies. We should start something..i'm game if either of you are...

Hi to all of you, wow, I had no idea there were so many of us in the Vancouver area. I have been looking for local support groups for over two years, and until I found this site, I was in connection with a woman in Prince George. I can't say its great that there are so many of us, cause that means we all suffer from the same thing. l live in North Burnaby and would love to get together.

Would any of you want to get together & meet one night next week just for (herbal) tea somewhere then see if we cannot get a proper set up with a local hospital or library conference room? My parents condo also has a meeting room of sorts that could be used. I'm in Poco but am willling to meet people in a mutally & geographically agreeable area!

Hi guys!
I would love to get together sometime next week. My place right now is tiny, so unfortunately we can't meet here, but anywhere is good for me!

I think that I'm right in the middle of everyone? If you want we can start meeting at my house. If everyone is game, then email my personal address at kahlen-welsch@shaw.ca and we can arrange a time and day that is good for everyone. Look forward to meeting all of you. Sue

Support Meeting for Vancouver
I am looking forward to the meeting. Please email me when a good time is for you. Daytime or nighttime? Doesn't matter to me. Sue :
