pencillian vk??

about a month ago , i had a sinus infection.......which i get alot ... bad allergies.......but the point is ......that whole week my bladder felt the best its ever felt........even my urgency /frequency went away. I was even able to take a day get away to the mountains...for the first time since last april when my IC went out of control.......
I dont know if it was a coincindence or if that particular antibiotic actually helped..........anyone else get better on taking a round of antibiotics??
too bad we can't take them all the time if thats the case....i know long term use is a no no.........but i was just curious if anyone else had gotten better......

antibiotics

hi there, I went on Augmentin 500mg last March for an unrelated problems and surprise, surprise, my IC symptoms went away as well. About three days after stopping the antibiotics, they all came back.

Just recently, I went on Augmentin 875mg again and had about 2 good weeks with no pain.

My uro doesnt know why this helped me but apparently some antibiotics have anti-inflammatory properties that can help with symptoms.

antibiotics

Hi I was interested in your posts. I had read awhile back that there was some kind of study about icer's using doxycicline 100mgs 2 times a day for 2 weeks and then 100mg 1 time a day for 2 wks. I think it said like 47% were helped. Has anyone heard anything like that before? After my cysto/hydro I think I'm going to do it and I'll let you all know what happens. Kathy
