Acidic allergy meds?

My pain managment md told me the hydroxyzine I am taking is acid???? Anyone else been told that it would explain the flare since increasing my dosage! Are there any other allergy meds that might help IC and Allergies (my allergies are driving me crazy this time of year.

I'm not sure I noticed anything and my doctor hasn't said anything. I do usually take 1-2 prelief when I take my night time meds or any time that I take advil or tylenol. I've been told that the inactive ingredients in the pill can cause flares. Night time has always been a trouble time for me, so I think the prelief helps.

Wishing you luck finding something that works -

I think quite a few people take the Atarax, which is what I think your taking. I haven't heard anyone else say that it bothered them. Try the pharmacist, they should be able to tell you.

I have found that Pharmacists are usually very helpful when I ask them questions.
