Zonegran

Yesterday I had a appt. with a new psychiatrist because my old one quit his practice (totally bummed about that). My old psych. was the one who prescribed Elavil for my pain. I told the new guy that I was gaining a lot of weight since I started the Elavil (cannot fit into any of my shorts from last summer). He prescribed me Zonegran in place of the Elavil. It's an anti-spasmotic that's supposed to effect your pain sensors just like Elavil. Plus, this one has weight loss as a side effect. I was just wondering if anyone else has tried this drug. I know that it's fairly new & there is no info about it on this website. Anyone out there taking this?

I haven't tried it but sounds like it should be good for you. I totally know the frustrations of a doctor moving out of his practice.

I hope someone here can tell you of there experiences with that med....

hope your new doc turns out great

Best Wishes
