Post please read anyone who flies

all right my husband just got a new job, but it's a traveling job and he will be able to take me with him, considering we can afford my air faire, anyway's I wonder what people do on planes that can help, has anyone used depends before? oh great 'I'm 22 and asking about depends. but does anyone know if depends would really help or are they only for leaking, I pee anywhere from a matter of seconds to every 30 minutes, I just know I'll get on the plane and during lift off I'll have to go really bad.
And to top it off my symptoms get worse when I'm stressed or nervous which flying does to me.

My husband is going to be sent all over the world about three times a year, maybe more. So some flight are going to be pretty long I'm kinda worried about this with IC.

I'm just hoping that it will be four months before he's sent anywhere and by that time I'm hoping the elmiron is helping. but if not I really need advice so I'm not so scared.

thank you

You might ask your doctor for something to help you relax a bit for those flights --- that way you wouldn't have stress to deal with. I recently flew to Washington, D.C., via Seattle, and it wasn't a problem for me. I asked for an aisle seat close to a bathroom so I wouldn't disturb anyone getting up. One important thing I forgot to do was arrange for a special diet and there wasn't anything on he menu I could eat so I was pretty hungry at the end of the flight.

thank you for responding, I was asking about depends not for leaking, but for if I really couldnt make it to the bathroom, kinda as a fail save. so if I do pee my paints no one will know.
but I don't know how much they really hold.
are depends more for leaks?

I used to work at a science museum where they used depends to demonstrate the ability of the "key ingredient" (I believe it was a polymer of some sort) to absorb water. Based on their demonstration I would guess that depends would be good for perhaps a single void. Ok, just got off the phone with a buddy of mine that works with seniors and he agreed that depends should hold a single void's worth and not much more than that. Hope that helps and good luck!
