Acidopholis Gel caps

I thought I would share something a friend suggested for controlling yeast. I use these gel caps they have a liquid form of Achidopholis in them. You just insert the gel cap vaginally I do it at night and it is so soothing. It really has helped with burning. You take it orally but the gel caps are the ones I insert and I found it really helps.

Where do they sell these - health food stores? Are they advertised to be used vaginally? I ask b/c I wondered if there is a specific gel cap for vaginal use so I'd know what to look for.

Good to see you, btw.

Current IC meds: Elmiron (since 2001), Levaquin (one pill after intercourse to prevent UTIs), Lexapro (since 2003 for depression & anxiety, but also helps my IC)

Past IC meds: Amitriptyline (Elavil), Hydroxyzine (Vistaril), Detrol LA (They all helped, but I was able to discontinue them.)

My IC story: http://www.ic-network.com/patientstories/kim.html It's very outdated now. I've been virtually symptom free and able to eat & drink whatever I'd like for several years now.

Gel Caps

I had some trouble finding them, my pharmacy here had them but he's not a chain. But did see them in CVS. Natures Bounty is the manufacturer which sells all vitamins and supplements. They are not sold as vaginal just oral cas as any other except these say soft gel caps. My friend said you can insert the regular ones for yeast but then you get that white powder mess. That's why I liked these they were a liguid. I don't see why they would not be safe to insert cause people stick yogurt in. Worth a try but they are regular oral ones but you just insert. Let me know if you find them and if you try them.
