Post Pain control=Ability to work

If our pain is under control via good pain management, then all the other sympoms can be managed to the point most of us should be able o work at least part time.

For me, my pain is out of control and can't find a Dr. to help right now. Pain management is my whole life. When I don't have it, I don't have one! It's the oposite of drug addicts, who get pain drugs so they can escape life.

So why don't Dr's help me? I have no history of drug abuse. I am a former law enforcement officer and worked undercover in that area for a long time. I've also advocated for children with disabilities, raised my kids, taught self-defense classes, ran marathons, did heavy landscaping etc.

I would LOVE to be able to have a carrer again. Though I know I can't go back to heavy-duty work, I'd settle for ANYTHING. Why do doctors not help? They won't give me medication enough and they won't fill out the damn paper saying I can't work. They say I "shouldn't" have so much pain. But I DO, so why don't they help me so I can either get on disability OR go to work, one or the other!

I'm so depressed.

It sounds very much like you need to find a good pain specialist. They are out there, but sometimes it can take a while to find just the right one.

Warm hugs,
Donna
