Thumbs up

i wouldn't be to specific (depends on your
boss)

just say due to illness, needs to be

home resting for ( ? - however long you need)

push fluids. Keep it simple,

good luck - sorry i'm not very creative.

but that's honest--
and you don't need to worry about explaining
something that's personal between you and
your doc.

try calling or emailing staff or check
chat room see if you can catch someone w/
ic network. - they are really good listeners

good luck :p

I don't know where you live but IC patients are protected under the Americans with Disabilitys Act. If one or more life functions are interferred with. For example sitting being uncertain how long you can do it. They must make, "reasonable accommodations" fror you. Find a place for you or way for you to work that is more comfortable and less demanding. Next I would start a log of symptoms and what aggrevates it, and the severity, etc. and start documenting. It might be possible that eventually you would have to go out on disability. I never thought in a million years that would happen to me but it did. And it takes months to get started with the Disability, so start documenting now. If you don't need it you have lost nothing. Straight and simple, you cannot be fired for chronic illness such as IC, which is defined as an invisable handicap. Sure you can't see it like you can see someone in a wheelchair but it is no less disabilitating. Hope this helps.
