irfran ICN Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Posts: 91	Vistaril (changed generic, it stopped working) Recently, when I had by generic script for Vistaril refilled, the pharmacy changed me to different generic. Didn't think much about it but started to take the new generic. On day one, my frequency was getting worse. By day four, I was miserable. Frequency and urgency returned. Started to think about the new generic and switched back to the original generic. In no time, I was feeling much better. Don't know what was in the new generic but if I had been given that brand when I first started the drug, I would have assumed Vistaril was not going to help me. I know generics are to be similar to one another but there was just enough of a difference to make me miserable. Just wanted to post my experience. Hope it helps someone.
