The Government Approves A Scarry Plan
I heard on the news that the government approved something stating that employeers have the right to drop retirees or any 65 or older from health care and that it is the companies' choice. I am really scared as both what I take for anxiety and depression is helping with IC. Has anyone else heard this? What do they expect us to do?

Actually, what is being proposed isn't really a significant change. I know that when I went on Medicare, the insurance that had been available to me through my previous employer was no longer available. They did offer a Medicare supplement, but since I wouldn't have medication coverage through the old plan (that was one of the changes they made) I chose to leave that company entirely.
My husband and I do purchase some medications out of Canada at a significant savings, which does help.
Sending an encouraging hug,
Donna
