Question Bruising with Elavil?

Since I have been taking Elavil I have noticed that I bruise easily. I have had 10 bruises in the last week and have no idea where they came from. I visited my uro and they said it may be a sign that the meds are damaging my liver. This worries me and I am nervously awaiting blood results. I am even scared to take my meds. Has anyone else had this problem while taking Elavil??

Janelle...

I am sorry that I do not have an answer for your question. I do know, however, how hard it is to wait on results from blood work. My liver enzymes run a little high, usually and I hate to wait on the results each time they draw blood. I hope you get the news, soon...

Okay well now I am really confused! I just got my blood results back and everything is normal. I have no idea what could be causing me to bruise so easily. Maybe I need to see my GP.
Thanks,
Janelle :dogrun:

Wow that sounds scary that he said the meds maybe damaging your liver Hopefully not.
About the medicine ...what is Elvamil???Do you mean Elavil?
I was on that for a while but it didnt cause any bruising.

Good Luck with your results. Are you anemic??That would def. make you bruise easily.

Michelle,
I did mean Elavil. I have been very anemic in the past particularly when I was pregenant. I should probably have that checked as I have been unusually tired as well.
Thanks for the tip!
