Neurontin Gel?

Has anyone had succcess with topical 6% Neurontin? I have an order for it waiting at the pharmacy, but haven't tried it yet.

Lifelong IC symptoms, only diagnosed Oct 08 with cysto/hydro; lifetime IC has led to pelvic floor dysfunction, uterine prolapse, and vulvodynia. Fun!

Hi Alli
I tried it for 6 weeks. I did see some results but it did burn when i used it. Mine was compounded in a cream formual. Maybe the gel will be better. I ask my doctor about the gel form and she was going to talk to the pharmacy about what they use to compund it with. Give it a try. Hope you find relief.

I never had the nerve to try it. I find I do not do good with most creams or Gels.. The only thing I have been able to tolerate is lidocaine..I do hope this helps you!

Meds For IC: Lyrica-25mg Glucosamine-500 MSM-500mg, Prosed Ds -When Flaring

Other Meds: Levlite- Continious Birtcontrol, Micardis-40mg for High Blood Pressure

Meds I have Tried:
Topamax,Tofranil, Elmiron, Atarax, Cymbalta, Elavil, Enablex, Detral La, Prydium.
Lexapro< Bad reaction to this med!
Intstills, could not continue them due to some kind of reaction after 3rd instill. Tasted the lidocaine in my mouth, tongue and lips went numb then went into what seemed like a panic attack. Shaking, racing heart, tingling face/head, blood pressure shot up..

Dx With IC in Nov 2006 with Hydro/Cysto
Hydro/Cysto Caused Bladder to Rupture.

Other Dxs-Vulvodynia,Fibro, Endo, IBS, HPV, Migraines, Spastic Colon, Mild Dysplasia.
