I'm sorry I don't have an answer for you. I do, however, feel it's important for you to work with your doctor to make the decision about medications.

If a medication is making you feel "wired" --- definitely let your doctor know.

Warm hugs,
Donna

I take topomax for migraines. I take it every night. It prevents them. It also helps you lose weight. There is a risk of kidney stones. I had visual migraines that were occuring at least once a day or more. On topomax, they don't occur at all. I didn't have them while I was on Neurontin, so I can't help you with that. I WILL tell you from personal experience that if you have a stroke while you are on topomax...and by chance can't have an MRI...the ER doctors will probably blame your symptoms on an atypical migraine or topomax side effects. Then they'll send you home so you can have another stroke. (I'm 26)
