Question ??Probotics regarding Lactose intollerance?

Ever have difficulty with some or any Probotics if you are Lactose intollerant? What is the best way to avoid this? If you are Lactose intollerant but need to take Probotics can you trust a product that says it is safe even if you are Lactose intollerant?

Thanks for your help.

dunno if this is a good help but the probiotics I have say "Milk free probiotic acidophilus" 2.4 billion live cells per capsule at time of manufacture. has lactoacillus acidophilus, lacto. rhamnosus and lacto. bifidus. HOWEVER the "other" ingredients state dicalcium phosphate, cellulose (plant origin), hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, vegetable stearic acid, silica, and vegetable magnesium stearate.
I havent tried them yet, but I keep em in the fridge for the family when antibiotics are used.

I am already on long term antibiotic treatment for my IBD and have been taking acidophilus...but just a Walmart brand. Probotics are a common treatment for my form of IBD but the kind and strength are important. Unfortunatly I have noticed that since I have been taking more acidophilus daily I am having a bit of a flare...and I know I am lactose intollerant and although I know I need a stronger Probotic and will be making a change....I don't need my flare to become a bad flare. My sugeon I saw about my Pouch prolapse thinks that since I am no longer bleeding and things have improved that surgery could do more harm then good and that most likely pouchitis caused my prolapse...and the best thing for me is to treat it more agressively. (his belief is that means stronger Probotics but I am scared)

The brand my doctor recommended FLORAjen I am thinking avoiding the strain with Bb-12 probably is good idea and the other one says....safe and reasonable culture to try if you have a low-level lactose intolerance. (how in the world do I know if my lactose intollerance is low level?) I can tollerate dairy as long as I take Lactaid...but if I don't boy do I end up flaring....and pretty much my whole body hurts! If this treatment means for me to do it I need to take Lactaid with each dose I suspect I will be broke ....hoping that there is a better option!

Can anyone
