IC or YEAST OVERGROWTH?!!

I feel like I live with a yeast infection. Just a slight one. I always say, if it gets worse, I will call a dr. and get a rx, but it never gets that bad. I have been reading about Yeast overgrowth. One of the symptoms is painful urination! I have not been officially diagnosed with IC. My doc. has ruled out other things, and said lets try Elmiron and Atarax and see wht happens. I am thinking that it is the yeast tingh now! I pray it is!! Have any of you all looked into this, or have suffered from this? I think I want it to be anything other than IC!!!

If you feel you have yeast, please ask your doctor to test for it. That way you will know and can treat it if that's what you have.

The only way to know is with a test from your doctor. Yeast infections are big triggers for IC flare ups for many of us. Painful urination is a yeast infection symptom, a UTI symptom, a Pelvic Floor Dysfunction symptom, and for some patients with IC part of their IC symptoms.

All of this is so confuseing. I have researched it more today and found out a lot of really interesting stuff. I can relate to a ton of other sympyoms that are caused by Yeast Syndrome. I am going to call my doctor and see about getting a test. Should I go to my GP, OB, or Uro?

Any one is fine....I guess if it were me I would go to GP. Becareful in your research. Thesedays yeast is "in style" of theoretically causing everything to some people. That doesn't mean that there aren't other things going on.
