Some "at home" income
For the last couple of months, my daughter and I have been selling our used books on Amazon. When my mom died, we took over the selling of her books. We are only doing this to get rid of some stuff, but I can see that if any of you likes to go to garage sales (I used to sell whole bags of books for $5.00........other people likely do too!), you might be able to earn some spending money this way! Here are the links to our "z-shop" and the one that my mom's books are on..........if you want me to help you do this, let me know. (I even put the Confident Choices workbook on Amazon this way!)
Here is our link:
http://s1.amazon.com/exec/varzea/sea...ld-status=open
and here is the one for my mom's store.........
http://s1.amazon.com/exec/varzea/sea...ld-status=open
If for somereason the links don't work and you want to know how to do this, let me know.........I wish I had known about this a long time ago!

I just checked the tally on each of those accounts...........on my mom's account we have earned over $600 is six weeks. That is minus the Amazon commission. That is for only 50 books. All of that money goes to her estate........garnering much more than the estate sale would have.
For example, the lady who would be running our estate sale would have put 50c on each paperback and $1 on each hardback regardless of what they were. We are AVERAGING $12.25 a book and that includes penny novels.
The key is to get books that are brand new or nearly new. That way you can post it under the "new" catagory and not the "used." Obviously, estate sales are also a great place to find these books.
I am doing this with my daughter and we are having a blast. We are always amazed at what people are buying and where they are from. We have set up envelopes and Sharpies to pack up the books as soon as we get notice to sell them. So far we have been very disciplined about it LOL.......
I can see this being a GREAT business (and incentive) project for those of you who have kids. Get them involved and put the money toward a new bike for them or a vacation for the family.
Can you tell I am excited about this?
