Acrylic Nails - Interstitial Cystitis Network Support Forum

I'm thinking about having my nails done. The lady told me that she will use acrylic polish to build up the nail . I'm a little hesitant and was wondering if anyone else has acrylic nails and if it caused a flare up?

Also, I was looking at the IC food list and did not see Celery. I'm so afraid to try something new. Is Celery OK to eat or not?

I have acrylic nails and they don't make me flare.......just beats up my wallet every two weeks, but I can't grow nails for the life of me. Also, celery is fine for most IC patients

i don't have them now but have had them done many times in the pass. they didn't brother my i.c but the smell in there while they was doing it didn't do me any favors if you can find a day to go where there isn't as many people in there to have yours done it shouldn't cause a problem but if you go in there when many people are having it done it may cause a flare to smell that smell.
