Low Libido

I am 34 and a mother of 3 boys. Happily married. However, be the end of the day I just want to go to bed! My libido seems low! HELP! Is there anyone out there that is taking any medications to increase their libido. There are so many things on the market for this, but not sure about them.

Hi Kimberly
Have you tried talking to your doctor about this? I use a testosterone cream that my doc prescribed when I went to him with the exact same problem. It was made by a compounding pharmacy, and I'm also on Estratest due to a complete hysterectomy when I was 25 (endometriosis). The Estratest contains a small amount of testosterone, which helps with the libido. It has worked wonders for me!
It might be a good idea to have a hormone test done to see if your levels are low. That way you'll know for sure just what kind of approach to take.

Are you on any medications? Some can definitely effect the libido.

Donna is right; especially if you are taking anti-depressant medication. Many of these have sexual side effects, such as low libido or difficulty reaching orgasm. However, I am sure your problem is compounded by how busy your life is It sounds like it would wear me OUT. You could speak to your primary care doctor or your OB/GYN about the problem and perhaps they will have some suggestions for you.
