Question about atarax or vistaril
Hi, I have not been given either one of these antihistamines, and everyone seems to be on these. I have sjogrens disease (dry eyes, dry mouth, dry all mucous membranes etc,) and wondered if others have this disease that have IC too. Those with Sjogrens tell me what you are taking, please, and what works for you. Thanks.

I've been on Hydroxyzine for months now. I don't really notice anything now, but I remember in the beginning I did notice a difference. It did help. I think if I were to stop taking the Hydrozyzine, I would notice the decline in my health.

I have been taking it for 2 1/2 years and I won't be without it. This medication has really helped me.

I take atarax too, been taking almost since my diagnoses it helps me with the burning esp at night. It did at first make my throat and nose dry though so maybe it would be best to use caution if you try it. I started at a low dose and worked up slowly (now i am back down to 50mg at night) I hope you find the answers and help that you need. this is a great place!

I've been on 25mg of atarax since the beginning and it really helps me. I'm extremely groggy when I wake up, but once I'm up and moving, I feel really good for most of the day. Every now and then I miss a dose and it screws me up. I also have really sensitive skin and breakout in itchy rashes easily. Since I've been on Atarax, it's helped significantly with that. I don't think I could live without it.
Good luck on your search - may you find a good solution that works best for you!
Take Care!
Jennifer
