Bacterial Vag- here we go again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am really sick of this. I can tell I have another Bacterial infection. I rarely have sex and I did alot this month, well alot for me. So again I will have togo to the Dr. Sometimes I feel like they think I am nuts because its every few months, I go in and make them check under the microscope. I have read about what causes it, my Dr says some women are prone to it. Yipppee lucky me. Then my hubby gets an attitude you have one of them again, like I enjoy having these freakin things.I do everything I am suppose to do hygiene wise, read about it enough, but I am starting to think sex is the culprit sometimes for me.Just need to vent I guess I will call the Dr monday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -jojo

A bit confussed...you are posting in Veast but think you have a bacterial vaginal infection? Well either way.....If sex seems to be your culprit your husband should get checked. With me and yeast sex often can be the culprit because my usual dry area becomes moist. I doubt anyone thinks you want to be going to the doc that often....but they may be just as frustrated as you...I know I have had periods of time where I was going to the doc all of the time....we just go through periods of time like that. So sorry you are prone to theese infections. I hope you feel better soon. ((hugs))

There is a difference between yeast infections and bacterial vaginosis. The yeast infection usually looks like a cottage cheesy discharge. The bacterial vaginosis is a thinner discharge. I, too, have frequent incidence of BC. My doc says mine is due to lowering of estrogen levels. Coincidentally it began with my diagnosis of IC. Treatments are different also. I use a cream suppository, I believe there is also an oral drug but treatment is different than that of a yeast infection.

I agree that your husband should also be checked. If sex is the culprit, he may be the carrier. I suggest you ask your doctor about it.
Sending encouraging hugs,
Donna
