Do you get bruises after a flare?

Two weeks ago today I had what I'd call a major IC flare. I get them about 4 times a year. I took a pain pill and crawled to the bathtub that my hubby was filling for me. I got in and stayed there curled in a fetal position for 2 hours, adding hot water. I would call the pain nine. After and episode like this my abdominal area gets all bruised and later really itchy. I'm starting to think that these episodes are from endometriousis and not from the interstitial cystitis. When I had a total abdominal hysterectomy in 03 I was told I had also had endo. on my bladder, intestines and lungs. I haven't seen other talk about abdominal bruising after a flare. I am mostly able to keep mydaily pain at a 3 to 4 by following the IC diet, taking my meds and keeping from getting too stressed or too tired.
I am S.S. disable and don't work.
This last episode was very scary as you forget in between how painful it can be.
ANYWAY...does this sound like an IC flare?
Oh also, I'd like to add that when I've had abdominal surgeries I also bruise pretty profusely.

If you're getting the water too hot, it could be that you have some redness from that. You might want to take a thermometer so you can be sure you aren't burning your abdominal tissue.
