Does anyone remember this?

I had my interstim implant removed today and I was really excited about it being gone but of course the lead broke when they removed it so now Im still stuck with metal inside my body that may prevent me from ever getting a MRI. Im frustrated because alot of things have been wrong about my entire experience. But I serisouly dont ever remember Medtronics or the doctor that convinced me to get it ever telling me the leads could break. I just remember them telling me I could always have it removed. This just really makes me mad. I feel like the entire thing was a lie. I know it helps people but it doesnt help everyone and I dont feel like they tell you the entire truth when they talk people into getting it.

Tara,

I'm sorry it did not work for you and you are having so much trouble. Mine did not work either and it started a lot of other problems. Believe me I know how frustrating it ALL can be!!

But, One thing to keep in mind, is that this is WHERE our homework comes to play a huge role. I ALWAYS research, research, research many aspects of something new and different. What I have learned other the past yrs with this disease is that I alone have to be my own advocate when it comes to my treatment protocol. My uro always tells me, if I want to try something new to bring him a double-blind study and that he learns from me.

I hope you are having a great Turkey Day!

hugs and blessings
