Do you have to wean off Elavil?

I need to stop taking Elavil for 7 days in order to get allergy testing done. Has anybody ever heard of having to stop Elavil to have allergy testing?

Also, I have only been on it for at the most 3-weeks, I worked my way up to my current bedtime dose of 25mg. Can I just stop it cold turkey or do I need to wean off? I am waiting to hear back from the MD, but just thought I would see what you all thought.
Thanks

At only three weeks, you probably won't have a problem, but I think you should ask your doctor.

I agree that talking with your doctor is the best thing to do. It's better safe than sorry.

My Pharmacist told me that if it is 3 weeks or less , you can stop any medication Cold Turkey. But depends on the Pill.

If it is over 3 weeks , then you must Wean Off it.

Talk to your doctor first though to get their permission.

I hope there won't be any side effects.
