Is allergy season a flare for anyone else?
I've been in a non stop flare for a week. It's total unrelenting misery and only azo makes it possible for me to minimally function. I was doing fairly well for a long while but the ragweed seems to be doing it's thing in my area and this is a very bad "hayfever" time of year for me.
Does anyone else have this sort of trigger? (hayfever/similar allergies?)
I'm horribly discouraged since I was gaining ground and now I feel trapped in my symptoms yet again.
I'm eating what I'm supposed to, drinking what I'm supposed to, doing my PT, etc. And none of it's helping.
It's killing me from the inside, you know?
If anyone else goes through this, does ANYTHING help? (I'm all ready doing the antihistimines.)
Thanks, Hannah.

Allergy season is horrible for me, and I cannot take vistaril or antihistames, they all increase my frequency tremendously! Unfortunately for me allergy season is from sept to June! I am trying acupuncture with little success and just praying for the elmiron to kick in soon (I have been on it for about 7 months, very slight improvement in level of pain so far) You definetly might want to give Vistaril a shot. It is a miracle drug for so many with allergies. Good luck

Yes,
Allergy seasons are horrid for me and with each yr it feels like it gets worse! I have been taking Atarax for yrs. But is Visteril better for some I wonder? Sometimes I wonder if my antibodies taking atarax has formed a resistant and aren't working anymore?
Hugs and blessings

Hi,
Is it possible that you could up your Atarax dosage during allergy season? My daughter's doctor's office told me that they have some patients do this during allergy season...Maybe something to talk about with your doctor?

So allergies are the culprit apparently and now we get to hope hydroxyzine and zyrtec plus sinus rinses and nasalcrom get me through.
I was doing better for a few days but my son woke me up after 4 hours of sleep and exposed me to allergens so now I'm a giant flaring mess again.

Yes, yes, yes! I have been good for a while, but now with the ragweed high I am miserable and my bladder hurts. I take Zyrtec at night and now I need to take Vistiril/Atarax during the day. I stay inside the house (hate that) and stay drugged up on antihistamine, otherwise my bladder kills me.
Allergies are a huge flare for me.
