gastritis in stomach caused by antibiotics for IC

Hey there!...i am new to here...i have had diagnosed IC since i was 15 and i am now 35...the doc approx.5 years ago while flaring decided to put me on a profilactic dose of 1 septra a day for 8 mos...well it created gastritis on the lining of my stomach which felt like an ulcer...l was then unable to take any meds period until my stomach healed as the antibiotics burned the lining...my stomach is still not the same if i ever needed antiobiotics for a length of time they would have to give them to me through IV ...becasue my stomach is too sensitive now...so i cannot take pyridiam or any pain med now except tylenol if desperate...because i do not want to upset my stomach...really have to relay on my diet...and lots of water!!...just wanted to mention my experience with the antibiotics..keep smiling

Should you ever think about trying the prophylactic abx treatment again, ask your Dr about Trimpex. Its an old-school abx used for the prevention and treatment of urinary tract infections. Its tolerated very well and since it only affects the urinary tract abx resistance is very slim.
