anyone had success with singulair

I just had my Dr. call in Singulair for me. My IC is SOOOOO tied to my allergies and yet the antihistamines don't seem to help, even vistaril. I was just wondering what everyone's experience with singulair has been?

My doctors like singulair and allegra for allergies. Both of them say they have the least side effects. I don't take antihistamines as a rule; they don't agree with me, and I don't have serious allergies (altho I used to.) My uro usually prescribes Atarax (same as Vistaril) along with Elmiron, but his overall attitude works for me: if you want to try it, try it, and don't take too many other drugs at the same time, so you can evaluate it's effect. If it doesn't seem to help, stop taking it.
