flaring from amoxocillin

I have been dreading this since my IC diagnosis. I was just starting to feel a little better (after 8 months of constant pain) and was diagnosed with Lyme's disease and strep throat at the same time. I am on amoxocillin right now and although the pain is minimal, I am up peeing every hour and a half like clockwork. needlesss to say I am exhausted and can barely function through the day and I still have two weeks to go. I was wondering if anyone else has had this experience with antibiotics? I don't have a choice, I can't change meds because of the strep/lyme's combo, so I guess I am just screwed as usual with disease.

All anti-biotics do the very same to me. Lyme is very serious. I hope you can stay on them until you are better. Sending my best wishes. Hug, Ziggy

I just finished taking Clindamycin for 2 weeks because I got a tooth infection after a root canal. I'm amazed it didn't affect my IC at all! I took a probiotic every day with it hoping I wouldn't get diarrhea like I always do with any antibiotics. It helped somewhat. I hope you're feeling better Judy. My brother in law tested positive for Lyme disease a few years ago. He took a course of antibiotics and never had any further problems.
