Package Discount

Hi Everyone!

I just sent off an email to a customer and I had an idea that I sent out to her that I want to offer all of you.

I want you all to keep this in mind and don't place your orders yet because I don't have anything set up yet, but when everything is in place, then this should save ya'll some money.

Okay,

When the cookbook is finished, the book I'm writing with my daughter, and the ICN Team store is completely populated with products, then what I thought I'd do is offer a package approach. If you want to order a cookbook, the I C Mommy Hurting, and product out of the IC Team store, however many you want, then I'll work up a discount structure so that it is graduated. For 0-49 a certain amount of discount, 50-99,100-149,150-199......etc....etc...etc...

You see what I'm saying? If you buy everything at once, rather than spreading it out through the year, and buying the book, cookbook, and store product seperately, then you can save yourself quite a bit of money.

I don't have it all worked out yet because my brain is still catching up on all the other ideas I'm always coming up with but you know what, otherwise, I'd have to get some sleep or something!

Oh, I wanted to tell ya'll really quick what my daughter is doing. I'm so proud of her. Don't want you to think I'm bragging or anything.

She's homeschooling now, for reasons that are a long story and I'll tell later. But anyway, she could be watching cartoons everyday, all day pretty much, but instead she has started volunteering at the community center working with the elderly 3-4 days a week 6-9 hours a day! I end up staying up all night so she is by herself in the morning. Now, remember, she is only NINE! She gets herself up, gets her breakfast and lunch, then wakes me up at 1:30pm and says "Mom, it's time for me to go to work." Oh my gosh! I'm just overwhelmed when I think about that!
She talks to the seniors, she helps with the cooking, washing dishes, setting places, she does Meals on Wheels, and she sings Karaoke for them on Thursdays! LOL! And she won't miss this stuff for anything! She used to go to kids programs in the afternoons when she was in school (she does schooling with a senior volunteer at the center), but now she wants to go to the center instead.

Anyway, I'm so proud of her work ethic! In about two months, she's gone from a very self centered little girl, to a girl who puts others before herself, and one who really knows how to manage her time and get to work and do her job well!

Wow that seems to be a lot of responsibility for a child who is only 9. You say she is home schooled? Who schools her if she works 6-9 hours a day? That's an awfully long day for an adult let alone a small child of nine. Just curious how and when she get's her schooling in? Does someone come to your home while you're sleeping and school her? Or does she go to someone else's house for her lessons like my neighbors children do? Her and another lady take turns at each others houses and they also give music lessons to the kids as well.

Oh gosh! Please don't get the wrong impression! She goes with a friend who volunteers at the community center and she homeschools her since I'm sick. She helps out by washing some dishes, plating the food as the people go through line, reading to the seniors, singing to them, etc...She's gone that long because after the meals and stuff, she rides with this lady over to her mom's house and helps her with care for her and stuff. It's not any overly difficult stuff, but it's enough that it show that she is being responsible and I never once asked her to do this. She came and asked me if she could do it, and if you knew her story, you'd see why this is preferable to cartoons. Honestly, that is the number of hours she's away from the house, and includes schooling at the community center.

Thanks Ronda. I'm very proud of her. She sure has come a long ways from the hurt little girl who's daddy molested her and just wanted to hurt the world back and be taken care of. Now she wants to take care of others and it's a beautiful thing to watch.

Oh, and that's only three days a week also. Like today, she and I were together all day. She only does that Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The rest of the week she spends every day, all day with mommy only.

Then, after that, as a treat, she'll take Ashley down to the waterfront to walk along the beach and collect shells and stuff. I suspect with the better weather they'll do some fishing and clamming, as well as swimming in the canal and river. I'll be doing that too if I feel well enough.

I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you feel bad or feel you have to explain anything. These boards are for everyone to give information, support, offer advice, vent, cry or share happiness as you've shared about your precious daughter.

My young niecce was also molested by her father as well. She goes to therapy and is high school now doing really well.

I did not mean to offend you in any way and am SO sorry!
It sucks to have all these other issues and problems in our lives along with the IC and other things. I am a mother of 3 and I love being able to tell others about the great things my loving childrendo as well. It also sounds like your little girl has a huge loving heart and that touches me deeply. Again,........ I feel bad that I may have upset you.

Have a great weekend and be proud of yourself and your daughter.

Oh don't feel bad at all! You didn't offend me! It looks like I upset you with three copies of the post there. Poor thing.

Actually Ashley ended up being pulled out of school after two years of failed trying with teachers who just couldn't understand what was going on with her after she was molested, and they just made it worse. The last one punishing her for not knowing or understanding math, putting her in the hallway to finish it, then bringing her back in the class and sending her back into the hallway even though she'd made up her work, and making her miss cake and ice cream for her best friend's birthday. That was just the last straw for me and I blew.

She's gone from not knowing how to tell time last year in second grade, to reading to the seniors and a whole host of other skills. So this is great for her.

Honest. You didn't upset me, I just felt maybe I'd given the wrong impression, like she was slaving for nine hours, LOL!

Hugs okay?!

Yes Moonheart
She has made leaps and bounds from what she had to go through in her past..I honestly understand her completely I went through the same thing. Just with another family member. I just wish I would of had a mother like you who could of helped me through it.. I had to learn to deal with all that on my own..You are not only lucky to have such a wonderful caring daughter she is also lucky to have such a wonderful caring mother
