Christmas Tree DISASTER!

OMG! I dont know whether to laugh or cry. Thanks to our new addition to the puppy pack around here, they love to run in circles around the house...well, they ran, right into my TREE!!! We wound up moving furniture to be able to stick the tree in the corner where it's safe! I'm so sore!!! Thank goodness Tom was home today because I was pushing furniture with my FEET because my legs are the only strong part of my body, and they really aint all that strong.

So, the family room is rearranged, and the tree is back together, and safe. BTW, anyone like those retro lights, the big bulbs? We got the prettiest sets at Sears, and everyone who sees the tree flips out over the lights. They're so neat, and something different for a change!

Now, we took the cat's hiding place, and I bet ya he parks his big lard butt behind my tree!!!!

Its my fault I own a zoo! LOL

Ho HO HO

When we had puppies we put the tree in a play pen. Worked like a charm!

LOL. I'm seeing lots of laughter in the room... and that is a gift in itself! Pets can be so entertaining, comforting and such a source of unpredictable joy. My cat often climbs the tree but I watch her like a hawk to make sure she's not nibbling lights when they are on.

Love the retro lights... we're seeing lots of them out here in the Wine Country. Our old tree used to have large twinkle lights of different colors and I would often turn the lights out and lay under the tree, watching the magic of the sparkling lights.

But, of course, I'm one of those people who believe that magic exists in the world and that each night, the ornaments come alive and dance throughout the tree. The angel at the top watches over all... as the ballerinas dance, the bears romp, the butterflies fly throughout the branches, the raggedy and and raggedy andy dance, the angels fly about, the candy cane fairies share their candy with all... and so on and so on. But, that's just me!

My cat ran strait up my tree one year. Destroyed it completely. Went a couple of years without one cause it was just no use, kept having to put it back up all the time. Trying it again this year, no cat anymore and dog seems to be leaving it alone for now.

So glad to see that I'm not alone in my animal adventures!!! Jill, I love your attitude....theres magic in everything. I think I might just lay under the tree like I did as a little girl, and look at it with all the lamps, etc, off....just me, the tree and the lights. It brings back memories!!

I am laughing now.....to me, a full house is a happy house!! Tom, my animals, and my kids........what could be better?

OH, My oldest brought his girlfriend here to meet us.....what a beautiful, charming young lady!!! I'm so blessed!!!!!!!!!

I'm afraid if I lay down on the floor under our tree, with my sore knee I might still be there next spring! I do love to sit in a darkened room with the tree and the lights over the fireplace. It's cold so we have a fire going too. And I rearranged the furniture in my living room to make it cozier.

We had a cat climb our Christmas tree. The poor thing fell out of the tree and broke her hip. So keep those blockades around your trees.
I have no line trifocals, but a friend of mine had bifocals with lines several years ago. She moved the lenses so that the line was up a bit. She said the lights on the trees looke like stars - I guess the line split the light. That would have been something to see!
