I wrote that in April! It's August/September now. I can't believe how far I've actually come. I think I blocked a lot of it out. I didn't think I would be writing about bathing suits.
I actually may do this for real! My Mom and Dad are taking me to the Cape for a week, September, 1st on. We are going to the Cape and then on to Staten Island and NYC for my 3 month follow up with my Surgeon. I will be able to throw on that bathing suit I was talking about in April and sit in the sun or maybe, if I'm lucky, swim in the ocean. We'll see what the people we are staying with are doing.
The only problem is that I can't seem to find that bathing suit I was talking about. I am not one to lose things but I've lost this one. It's not bathing suit season here so it will be darn hard to find another one before next week. I am praying that I find that suit.
At least I am worrying about bathing suits rather that bladder surgeries! It's been one LONG year but I've made it this far and for that I am so grateful!
Thanks for all of the support you all gave back then and continue to give today! I appreicate it all. I am 100% thankful!
Cape Cod! Here I COME bathing suit or not! Hey I could just skinny dip if I can't find the suit. I don't think the fish will mind all of my scars and my stoma!
P.S. I LOST that bathing suit. I guess I am going without one. Oh well, maybe it will be way to cold out there to even think about bathing suits!

I say "go for it, girl!". Put on that bathing suit, or any one for that matter-or none at all--hahaha..and enjoy the water; pool, ocean, river, lake, whatever!
Most importantly enjoy yourself on this mini-vacation and forget about any worries you might have!
Enjoy and stay safe!

Hi Kara
I say get online and search for that suit RIGHT NOW! and have it delivered express mail if necessary!! I live at the beach, gotta have the perfect suit, even if the water is too cold to swim, having the right suit is a MUST! Nothing can make you feel better than feeling like you're lookin' good, even while just sitting on the beach getting some sun or wrapped in a blanket. Hope you have a great time!

Think Lands End or LL Bean. They always have suits year round. Have a great time! You deserve it!

Don't worry Kara. It's the thought that counts. If you could find that swimsuit you know darn well you could wear it and that's the important thing.
Have a wonderful vacation and come back all bright eyed and bushy tailed.
Hugs

I found two bathingsuits, not happy with them but....
Thank you all for your kind and loving support!
I bought one bathingsuit last night. I'm not happy with one piece suits but there were no tankinis. I bought a simple, one piece black suit with mint green trim by Anne Cole. If it was my choice and I had a lot to choose from and I had the funds right now to do so I'd go right over to Lands End, LL Bean or even Victoria Secret and have them express deliver a tankini. We may be jet skiing and other water activities, so maybe a one piece would be more suitable after all, I would like it to stay on if you know what I mean.....
I didn't even know I would be doing this right now so I have to go one with what I could find last minute and just be happy that I am going and attempting to actually do this under all of the circumstances this year!
Again CAPE COD here I come, one piece suit, and all!
Kara
