installs and teeth staining?
HI All Im in a drug trial for Cystistat, Had my 3rd install today, i never put the 2 together, but have noticed my teeth looked stained! Went today and had a cleaning and the hygenist noticed it as well. She was able to remove it with some polishing. But was wondering if anyone else has noticed this before? I will not know what i was given until the end of the trial? But just thought it was a interesting coientence Hugs Sandra

Hi Sandra,
almost all of the woman in the german IC Forum received instillations with cystistat (or uropol) and there where never complaints about stained teeth. As the solution should't leave your bladder and should't go in the bloodstream I don't think that's even possible...
Hope everything goes well with the trial

Have you been on any antibiotics recently? If so, they can definately cause staining. (However they wont usually come off even with polishing.) They can cause teeth to look kind of gray.
My dentist has told me to always drink anything that isnt clear or white thru a straw to keep from staining my teeth. He has all of his patients do this, especially after whitening treatments to help keep them white longer. But, it is also a good thing to do even if you havent had them whitened. He said it also cuts down on decay because the beverage wont come into contact with the teeth. Makes sense! I have been doing it for a while and have noticed mine look alot whiter. Just thought I'd pass it on! Hugs, Amy
