Had Myofascial Release/Deep Tissue Massage
I had the GREATEST massage today for my poor, sore shoulder and neck-- 'course, it of course helped that my masseur was very very VERY hot
BUT that's not the only reason He works out of the comprehensive rehab center at the hospital I work at, so I thought he might be good, but that it would be a bit clinical, since it was through the hospital... but when I went in there the massage room was like one in a spa, lovely low light, music, ocean wave noise machine, heated, warm table... the works. The ambience was amazing!
AND he was soooo good. He knew all of the names of all of the muscles and where trigger points for myofascial pain syndrome occur in all of them. I explained my pain and he was able to find the EXACT trigger points causing it -- and his technique was INCREDIBLE. He was able to get my trigger points to release with just his hands, while before others have had to do trigger point injections with lidocaine to get them to break up. UNBELIEVEABLE...my shoulders and neck feel a hundred times better today, the wrist problem I thought was the beginnings of carpal tunnel and/or arthritis is completely relieved (I can write without pain!!!) and I'm in a dreamy mood even though the lower half of me still hurts a bit 'cause my period started later today...
If it could get any better, it turned out he was HALF as expensive as a massage at a spa!!!! AND for a little extra, he'll even come to your HOUSE. I ended up giving him a huge tip because it was soooo good, and because he charges so little to do something so amazing....
Needless to say, I now have a standing "date" with my new masseur every month

It really was great... I slept better last night than I have in a long time, because I could finally find a comfortable spot. Before, my neck and shoulder pain prevented me from cuddling up in my favorite position but last night I could and I slept really well. Only got up once at 4am to pee, too!
I am still feeling looser today. I actually have a bruise up near my neck from the myofascial release, because it can be rough and painful while it is happening, but I like it because it feels sooo much better after. The masseur said that slight bruising might happen so I was prepared. It used to happen when I got trigger point injections too. I don't care -- as long as those knots are gone I'm happy, and they are still gone
He said it might tighten again in the next week since the muscles had been "used" to being tight, but if it did, to come back in and he'd pop the knots out again for just a small fee instead of the full price!

Sarojini;
Hey hon. What more could you ask for, a dreamy guy massaging you and making you feel better without the use of the hurtful lidocaine infections. Oh wow! How old is this guy? Just teasin, or am I? He does home visits too? Would he travel to Iowa for a home visit? Again, just teasin. You lucky, lucky girl!
Love,
Tracy K.

This was my resolution for 2006... to work on my neck and muscle tension from sitting in front of this computer for so many years... and now I have a ton of muscle tension in my toosh! I haven't had any deep massage yet... but am having regular massage 30 minute sessions every two weeks and it seems to help. Hmm... would I have the courage to ask a hunky masseuse to do deep tissue massage on my arse??
