Happy New Year back at ya, Kazi...Since you get to the new year ahead of us here in the states, you begin to party before us. Will that happen tonight...your tonight? This blasted time and day difference makes my head spin . I never can figure it out. Here is a happy dance for your New Year's Eve Celebrations down under...
Hey guys...do you realize that our friends in OZ get to celebrate New Year's Eve in warm temps???? Now that's not fair. We have to stand outside in the freezing cold to watch the ball drop while they are in bikinis basking in their balmy temps.
EmilyRose...I haven't forgotten you. Happy New Year to you, also.

BEST WISHES TO YOU ALL FOR A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR
MAY IT BE A SAFE AND PROSPEROUS ONE.
Anyone wanting to swap temperatures is very welcome to do so my me. Today had an expected top of 42 celsius or 107.6 F. There is a total fireban and so there won't be any firework displays tonight - pity as they are usually spectacular.
There is a hot northerly blowing and when you walk out the door, its like a blast furnace. So are you really sure you want to swap?
PS Karis, you are most welcome. I look forward to hearing how you go when you arrive in Melbourne. Its a bit hot here at the moment but I don't suppose that will bother someone from the Black Swan state?

Happy new year to you all, and Karis you are very welcome.
Rosalie is right do you guys really want to swap with us?? melbourne has a bad heatwave going on, Brisbane has been hot too, but not as bad as Melbourne, ..what I wouldn't do to swap with you guys, and have a cold Christmas, but you know what they say '' the grass is always greener on the other side, but it never is''.
I am really looking forward to the winter, the heat here really bugs me, maybe its because I am getting older I'm not sure, unfortunately we do not have control over the weather, so we just have to put up with it.
have a good one every one
Martha
