My uncle is dying, please pray for him and my family
Hi all,
This is not my uncle who recently had heart surgery, or the one that found out he has cancer. This is a different one. He's actually my great uncle, but we are a close family, and this is very difficult.
My second cousin called me yesterday and apparently my great uncle is in the hospital with some kind of fungus of the esophagus. I have never heard of this.
He's like 90 years old, but up until this he was in the best shape. He lives with his daughter, she is one of those people who are genius', but cannot do simple tasks. She cannot handle her own money or live on her own, but she can tell you what 8,596,789,330,200 squared is without batting an eye! So there is also concern for her there, as our family has no idea what to do with her.
They said my great uncle doesn't have much more time, that he will die from this soon, and this is affecting my mom terribly, it is her uncle, he's been there her whole life and she has great memories of him. So please, say a prayer for my family, we are really struggling with all the illness going on in our family. Thanks.
Jess

Jess...
I am so very sorry to hear about your great uncle. Prayers are coming your and your mom's way for peace in this situation and for wisdom as to what to do for your cousin. Also, for all your family who are in need of them.

How sad, Jess! I know you have just had such a difficult time. I will be praying for you and your family. angel
My grandmother had a fungal infection in her lungs and was hospitalized for about a week last year. It's not something a lot of people get, but it does happen from time to time.
Take care!

Jess, so sorry about your great uncle, and I know it must be hard on your whole family, you have so much happening at the one time. I also feel very much, for your mum, dealing with someone she is very close to, and loves dearly, being so ill. Please know that prayers are being said, for all of you at this time. Take care of yourself Jess, love, hugs and prayers for all of your family, mum Iris. angel angel angel angel

Past IC meds: Amitriptyline (Elavil), Hydroxyzine (Vistaril), Detrol LA (They all helped, but I was able to discontinue them.)
My IC story: http://www.ic-network.com/patientstories/kim.html It's very outdated now. I've been virtually symptom free and able to eat & drink whatever I'd like for several years now.

Thank you so much everyone. The hospital keeps saying my cousin stepped out and won't give us information. We think that he passed away...I am so upset, he was such a great man, a WW2 veteran, helped invent the touch tone phone, just a kind human being...thanks for being here everyone, I will update when we find out for sure...
