Is the third trimester always worse?

Hi. I am really having a hard time with this pregancy. I am flaring up so bad! I am almost five months pregnant and having a lot of anxiety about the third trimester coming up. I have it pictured not even able to leave the house from all the stuff I have read about it. Is there anyone out there that didn't have their very worse IC experiences in their third trimester or can I just assume I am doomed. I really don't want to think of even more pain than this. It's horrible now! And supposedly this is supposed to be the easy trimester! My first trimester wasn't even as bad as it is now! I have also been back on Elmiron for about two months now. Ihope someone out there can tell me that the third trimester wasn't their worst! Ann

hi,- sorry to hear that u are not feeling well,... i am 14 weeks and i cut out all dairy and it is working .. ic is an autoimmune disease.. so u have to watch what u eat i went to a holistic doctor before i got pregnant and he has cured everyone with ic.. so when i read these boards and girls say that they got ic from having a c-section.. that is funny.. that is not true at all.. try cutting out milk, cheese and butter ... i did and it is working...there are so many other things i should eliminate to, but they are meats.. i still eat chicken... but not alot of red meat.. hope this helps.. feel bettter soon....

Anniepie,

The third trimester was not so terrible for me with my last pregnancy. I did go pee more with the pressure from the baby and the baby would kick the bladder sometimes but I didnt really have more pain. Right now I am only 19 weeks so my third trimester will be coming up in a bit as well. My IC has calmed a bit though. The first 3 months killed me.

Try not to stress. Stress WILL make it worse.
Hang in.

well i'm 27 weeks and all i do is run back and forth to the bathroom
i go wed for a treatment (i'll see how long or if it helps) i would say my ic got worse but it will be worth it in the long run. all i can say is watch what you eat and drink (i have not been doing that) that is one reason i run to the bathroom all the time. my baby is turned the wrong way for now and he or she will not leave my bladder alone (i hope the baby turns soon)
