Pelvic Congestive Syndrome

I just had my hydrodistension and a Laparoscopy on Friday 1/7. I was told that, instead of endometriosis, they found "one of the worst cases of Pelvic Congestive Syndrome they'd ever seen". "WHAT???"

I went on the internet to look this up. Only 15% of women get this (lucky me) It is like having vericous veins in your uterus, ovaries, and vulva. It causes dibilitating pain just like the IC, endo, etc. so it goes unoticed until it gets seen through a Laparoscopy and treated.

I just want to do a little pity party for myself here. I have a very bad case of IC (one of my doctor's worst patients), Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, Urethral spasms, Gerd, and now this! They are also doing a mamogram for the pains in my left breast, and MRI's to rule out MS.

I just want to lay down and die each time they add something to the list. I was thrilled that I didn't have the Endo, but shocked when I heard the new one. I just lay around and cry for the most part. My friends look at me and don't know what to say. I just want to lie and say I'm great, even though I look grey and am loosing my hair from the Elmiron + Stress.

I have a 10 year old son that is great and a Husband that is even Greater, so I press on and try to smile for them, even though I'm dying inside. I only cry when I'm alone. I'm the strong one of the family. "Mom the Rock" I am trying to keep a positive attitude, but it gets harder each day. I just want to see the light at the end of my tunnel that keeps getting longer and longer and longer. I have to press on. I want to go back to work, but I have so many tests and doctor's appointments that I miss a lot of work. My students don't understand why I'm gone so long, or why I look sick, walk slow, or sit on my pillows, or not eat their chocolate cupcakes... How do you explain this to children that aren't your own???

Now I'm babbling. I just need some more time and prayer to heal myself emotionally before I hit this thing with both barrells. I'm too young for this!! I want to fight it and win!

I think I'll do just that.

Thanks!
KK
