    Question Do DMSO instillations interfere with Elmiron?

    Hi Everyone,

    This is probably a dumb question but.............

    Does anyone know if DMSO instillations interfere with Elmiron's effectiveness?
    I'm contemplating getting the DMSO instillations and wanted to know if it would decrease the effectiveness of the Elmiron I am currently taking? I am going to ask my doctor about this when I see him next, but wanted to know if someone knew the answer.

    I am on Elmiron and get DMSO instillations with Elmiron in it and I have not had any problems.

    History of IC, Vulvodynia, Endometriosis, Adenomyosis, Polycystic Ovaries, and Cyst's on my Spine.
    Update as of 6/27/07- Endo, Adenomyosis & Polycystic Ovaries are gone because I had a Hysterectomy in May of 2005! Still battling IC and what was thought to be Vulvodynia, now thought to be PNE.
    Meds: Paxil 40 for IC, Clonazepam 1 for Restless Leg Syndrome, Seroquel 100 for Bipolar, and pain pills as needed.

    Many people do DMSO while starting Elmiron.
