Got in touch with the doctor!!!!
:woohoo: I got in touch with my internal medicine doctor today. I just wanted to thank all of you for your imput and the advice that I needed to do so. She precribed some Vicoden and I took one a couple of hours ago. For the first time in weeks I am comfortable. I cannot express how great this is! Today, prior to getting in touch with her I had been to the bathroom over 40 times only to go a dribble at the most and that in and of itself was extremely painful. She did not put refills on the scrip just 30 pills, but hey...right now at this moment I am ok and that means a lot to me!!! Just wanted to say thanks and share a bit of good news.
Are there any of you guys in Northeastern Ohio? Just wondering....it would be nice to get to meet...

It's great that you got some relief. It's amazing how much of a difference that makes. I don't live in Ohio, but I do live in Southeastern Michigan. That's relatively close.
I hope you continue to find some relief.
Take Care!!!

Janna,
So are you an east sider or a west sider? It seems like there was someone else on here from Ohio too, but I think it was southern Ohio.
Glad you got some pain relief.

So very glad you were finally given something for your pain!!!! And just because your doc didn't give you any refills doesn't mean she won't refill it if you call your pharmacy. As a nurse I can tell you some docs do it that way so they monitor how fast you are taking them and that you are taking them as prescribed. So don't be afraid to call your pharmacy when you run out.....
So glad to hear you have had a little bit of break!!!!!ALEXIS,

Janna,
I am in Southwestern Ohio. There are quite a few Buckeyes here. Are you anywhere near the Akron area? I know there is an Akron support group and that would give you the opportunity to meet with fellow ICers.
I met a wonderful person from NE Ohio here on the message boards. We emailed for months and had the opportunity to spend a day together this past spring. It was quite a treat to meet in person and spend time together! We continue to communicate, support one another and have become great friends. This is a wonderful group of truly caring people. It means the world to many of us to have this sanctuary. Glad you found us! We're here for you.
I am also happy to hear you found some relief! Take good care of yourself!
Annie
