    Talking I'm Pregnant!

    :woohoo:
As you've probably read, Hubby and I have been TTC. I'm about 7 1/2 wks pregnant and we couldn't be more thrilled! This is our first Pregnancy. It's a bit early to tell, but frankly I suck at keeping secrets and I could use your support.

Unfortunately, I am considered high risk (not because of IC). Something I'll explain more later. The reason why I was asking for pozzie vibes is that I had spotting last night and was pretty afraid.

The good news is that I went to see Dr this AM and had ultrasound. Everything looks good! Hopefully all will continue to go well. In the meantime, I need to get a bit more rest.

As for my IC, it's fairly stable considering I'm off all my meds. But more about that another time. Right now I just wanna concentrate on "no spotting" and healthy pregnancy.

I am just a few weeks ahead of you... but with my second baby. I have a 18 m/o son. My husband and I wanted them to be close in age!!
I wouldn't worry to much about the spotting unless it consistant for days and you have cramping. I spotted with my first pregnancy. It just all the changes your body is going through. Do not let yourself stress over it to much!!!!
Good luck and just enjoy being pregnant....

I sure hope things go well for you. You are very smart to rest and keep the stress down. I am very happy for you and hubby...

    Kim

    Diagnosed August 2001

Current IC meds: Elmiron (since 2001), Levaquin (one pill after intercourse to prevent UTIs), Effexor (for depression & anxiety)

Past IC meds: Amitriptyline (Elavil), Hydroxyzine (Vistaril), Detrol LA, Lexapro (for depression & anxiety, but also helped my IC) (They all helped, but I was able to discontinue them.)

My IC story: http://www.ic-network.com/patientstories/kim.html It's very outdated now. I've been virtually symptom free and able to eat & drink whatever I'd like for about 8 years now.

    Melanie...

Congratulations! I will be praying for you and your baby. I know the spotting is scary...I had it for the first two months, and thought I would lose my mind. But if the ultrasound looks good, that is a great sign. Take care, and let us know how you are doing...

    Talking

Thx gang for all the words of encouragement. Mike & I both walk around with these silly grins on our faces.

I wanted to share that I had THE BEST night sleep that I've had in months (since stopping sleep meds). I slept 9 hours walking only ONCE to pee. It was simply glorious. The amazing things a good night sleep can do to improve your mood and stamina! :woohoo:

    Hi there Melanie
I too had spotting on and off with my son (he's 2) all the way until 5 months. It is so nerve wracking - but can be very normal for some women. (I am 16 weeks now and had it also with this baby at 8 weeks)
Sending warm blessings your way! I am sure the baby is growing wonderfully!!
