I'm Pregnant!
:woohoo:
As you've probably read, Hubby and I have been TTC. I'm about 7 1/2 wks pregnant and we couldn't be more thrilled! This is our first Pregnancy. It's a bit early to tell, but frankly I suck at keeping secrets and I could use your support.
Unfortunately, I am considered high risk (not because of IC). Something I'll explain more later. The reason why I was asking for pozzie vibes is that I had spotting last night and was pretty afraid.
The good news is that I went to see Dr this AM and had ultrasound. Everything looks good! Hopefully all will continue to go well. In the meantime, I need to get a bit more rest.
As for my IC, it's fairly stable considering I'm off all my meds. But more about that another time. Right now I just wanna concentrate on "no spotting" and healthy pregnancy.

Kim
Diagnosed August 2001
Current IC meds: Elmiron (since 2001), Levaquin (one pill after intercourse to prevent UTIs), Effexor (for depression & anxiety)
Past IC meds: Amitriptyline (Elavil), Hydroxyzine (Vistaril), Detrol LA, Lexapro (for depression & anxiety, but also helped my IC) (They all helped, but I was able to discontinue them.)
My IC story: http://www.ic-network.com/patientstories/kim.html It's very outdated now. I've been virtually symptom free and able to eat & drink whatever I'd like for about 8 years now.

Melanie...
Congratulations! I will be praying for you and your baby. I know the spotting is scary...I had it for the first two months, and thought I would lose my mind. But if the ultrasound looks good, that is a great sign. Take care, and let us know how you are doing...

Thx gang for all the words of encouragement. Mike & I both walk around with these silly grins on our faces.
I wanted to share that I had THE BEST night sleep that I've had in months (since stopping sleep meds). I slept 9 hours walking only ONCE to pee. It was simply glorious. The amazing things a good night sleep can do to improve your mood and stamina! :woohoo:Melanie

Hi there Melanie
I too had spotting on and off with my son (he's 2) all the way until 5 months. It is so nerve wracking - but can be very normal for some women. (I am 16 weeks now and had it also with this baby at 8 weeks)
Sending warm blessings your way! I am sure the baby is growing wonderfully!!
