Lots of pain
I went in for my post op appointment today and yikes I am in pain and very sad! First they had some new photo machine during cysto and the photos are stuck or something they said but they would have it eventually. They said I had many many tiny cracks bleeding everywhere and that my bladder can not withstand alot before it will cause me pain.My temp is down abit its now 100.2 and my pain level was @ 10 I could barely walk and going to the bathroom causes extreme pain. They did a urine culture again it will be back Monday. They took me right away for a ultrasound. Already immense pain and drink all that water I was in tears. They found a cysts on left ovary. Said it could cause pain but probably not all my abdomen and bloating, vomiting. I am scheduled for a ct scan Sunday and every attempt was mad to get it done tonight but the only way was to be admitted to er again and I didnot want to do that (sounds stupid) but I just wanted to go home. I have to call G.I specialist Monday and make a appointment and they said because I have chronic pain and it effects my daily living I need to take my pain meds every 4 hours and they referred me to a pain specialists. Not so sure I was excited about that but they said they would call first and find one who deals with IC cause many dont! That part was good.Because seeing one more person who is clueless about IC and not willing to help me would proabbaly break me @ this point.I am in so much pain from being pocked and pryred for 5 hours I cant stand it.I am so miserable I just hope I can get bak to feeling like myself again,

*Also diagnosed with PFD, fibromyalgia, chronic myofascial pain, IBS, migraines, allergies/asthma, dermatographism
*Kept trying a million different treatments for all these things until I found what works, and I am doing okay these days with the help of a cocktail of medications and the InterStim, which was first placed in 2007. [I have had 2 revisions - one in 2010 when my battery died and had to be replaced, and one complete replacement (lead and generator) in 2012 after a fall on my stairs caused my lead to move.]
*Current meds include Atarax (50mg at night), Lyrica (150mg twice a day), Xanax (0.5mg at night and as needed), Zanaflex (4mg at night), hydrocodone (10/325, every 6 hours as needed), Advair, Nasonex, Singulair (10mg at night), oral contraceptives, home instills containing Elmiron and Marcaine (as often as I need to do them).

Kelley!
Boy, you have had a really bad time these past few weeks!
I sometimes wish I had a magic wand that I could just wave over all of us to make us better, and all of the docs to make them get their collective heads out of their :toosh:!!! If it is any help to you, I felt the same way after my cysto/hydro, and it tooks weeks of being miserable before I finally started to feel a bit better.Set realistic goals for yourself, and don't expect to feel better til your body is healed. Til then, try to stay calm, and divert your thinking by reading, watching tv,...(I know, easy for me to say!!) I wish you quick healing, and that you find a pain doc who will actually do something to make you feel better!!! Hugs and prayers coming your way!!!
Sheri G
Wishing you the best, today, tomorrow, and always!
