Trader Joe's Blue Berry Juice (from Concentration)

I only found the blue berry juice that is from concentration at Trader Joe's, $5.99. Is the concentration a problem? I remembered that I have seen a post here discussing about the blue berry juice, and what kind is IC friendly..couldn't find that post now..

Anyhow, my question is concentrated 100% blue berry juice is IC friendly? I tasted a little, kinda of sour..and then I added some water...the sourness gone..

I think as long as it doesn't have any additives in it, it would be ok. Sometimes companies add apple and/or grape juice and citric acid to juices. I wouldn't buy those. I buy either Just Blueberry from RR Knudson (it can be a little bitter sometimes) or Lakewood brand. They are both very good, and I actually prefer the Lakewood brand. It is a bit sweeter. Diluting it is a good idea!

Lakewood blueberry juice, 6 pack around $75 at Amazon. Are there any places offer better price?
I actually also would like to try one first before buying 6 packs..

You'll want to read labels to be certain there are no additives, but blueberries are usually bladder friendly.

I use occasionally the Trader Joe's blueberry juice, but I always dilute it with ice and at least 50% water. Straight, it's not ok for my IC. It does make a nice salad dressing when mixed with a bit of olive oil, which is an added bonus. Made gelatin with it once (bought plain gelatin & mixed it with the juice). Ok, but be careful about quantity!

Re: Trader Joe's Blue Berry Juice (from Concentration)

I get Lakewood Blueberry Juice for 11.99 at Whole Foods, but sometimes they have it on sale for 8.99. I wouldn't order it from amazon. Their shipping isn't the best, and you will likely get a box full of broken bottles.

The Knudson's is much cheaper (also in glass) and I think it usually runs about $8 or something around there. I can't remember. I don't drink it often because it is super expensive, and I do get the Lakewood brand because it is organic. The knudson's isn't, and blueberries retain a lot of pesticides even after being washed.

Knudson's is from concentrate though, and it doesn't irritate my bladder. I can usually find it at Publix.
