    Marshmallow root tea

I made this tea cold to drink but it tastes terrible. I added a few fresh mint leaves and a little bit of vanilla bean and still can't drink it. I don't want to add honey because it will be too sweet. What do u guys usually put on it?
    Elmiron 100 mg, 3 times a day.
    Myrbetriq 50ml, once a day.
    Elavil 10mg/day.
    Zopiclone 7.5mg/day.

    Urethra dilation June 2013.

I can't take it because it's diuretic and I'm already taking a diuretic for blood pressure. You can also get it in a concentrated liquid and add a few drops to a drink.

Donna, this is unrelated to the marshmallow root tea but you mentioned you're on a diuretic for blood pressure. Up until a few weeks ago, I was as well but the doctor said she was sure it was making my IC symptoms worse and that anyone taking a diuretic was essentially putting themselves into a chemically induced dehydration. Whether or not this is true, I've quit taking it and my BP meds have been changed to compensate but my blood pressure is just too high without the diuretic. How do you manage taking it? Since it makes a person urinate more frequently, doesn't this irritate your bladder more than it normally is? I just don't know what to do.

Years ago when I first started taking a diuretic I did urinate a lot for a few days, then I seemed to stabilize back at where I was before the diuretic. Since I feel good most of the time, I have to say the 25 mg I take isn't too much for me --- but I don't want to add more diuretics to my diet. I do have to be sure I drink enough to keep my urine diluted. There are just too many things that can go wrong with high blood pressure; I'm afraid to risk it.

I don't mind the taste anymore... I think of it as medicine and medicine always tastes bad, right?? Maybe you could try making it weak until you get used to the taste?
