Donna Update 12/7/11

Just wanted you to know that I had a lovely conversation with Donna today. She is slowly recovering and the pain is getting a little bit better every day. The surgery she had was on her spine, thus she has two very large incisions on her back. They removed a rare tumor, long and thin, that was moving down her spinal cord thus explaining the tremendous pain that she has been in for the past several months. She was diagnosed with a stage 1 lymphoma that her doctor says is "treatable" but not curable. She will be starting chemotherapy shortly.

I know that you join me in sending her our love and support. Donna has helped thousands of patients with IC through this forum, often despite her own struggles. Please send her an encouraging note or card if you can. After so many years helping others, it's time for those of us that she did help to send her support!

I am so sorry to hear about Donna's Diagnosis. She has given everyone of us here support and advice through all our bad times. She is just a great person. She will be in my thoughts and prayers that she make it through this rough time she is going through. God bless her.

Thanks for posting Donna's address Jill. Does she have two different cancers, a cancerous tumor in her spine AND lymphoma?
